Wing Back Hostess Chairs | Love it or leave it
What are your thoughts on wing back chairs used as hostess chairs in a dining room? I can tell you that I'm fully on board. In fact, now that we've swapped our dining room for the larger space I've been itching to find a way to cozy it up. Mostly it's been a miss with adding too many small things and creating too much visual chaos and none of the warm inviting feel I'm after.
Matthew will probably be super peeved to read this because he knows it means the two wing backs in our bedroom will probably have migrated to the dining room by the time he gets home from work. He gets so mad when I carry heavy furniture around by myself but we have a different idea of my physical limits and I don't like having to ask for unnecessary favors. And I like instant gratification and most of my rearranging happens when I'm the only adult home.
I love the idea of reupholstering them (myself?) in a solid color so I can rotate in fun pillows for some pattern and color. We're planning on keeping our Christmas tree in this room despite it's new function so this could really be an immediate project around here.
So tell me, do you adore or depart it?
