LOS ANGELES (AP) -- ''Designing Women'' famous person Dixie Carter, whose Southern attraction and natural splendor received her a host of tv roles, has died at age 70.
Carter died Saturday morning, in step with publicist Steve Rohr, who represents Carter and her husband, actor Hal Holbrook. He declined to reveal the reason of death or in which she died. Carter lived with Holbrook within the Los Angeles place.
''This has been a horrible blow to our own family,'' Holbrook said in a written declaration. ''We might admire anybody expertise that that is a private family tragedy.''
