Carters Mountain

I went apple picking yesterday on Carters Mountain in Charlottesville with Wells' class. The rain held off thankfully and we ended up with the most perfect overcast day! It's such a gorgeous spot with lots of history! You can see Monticello from the top of the mountain. I imagine this place is crazy on the weekends but it was really pleasant on a weekday morning. Not really crowded at all. I want to go back again soon!

Anyone have any good apple pie recipes they want to share? I now have two big bags full that I need to do something with in the next few days!
