Artist Spotlight: Britt Bass Turner | Greg Irby Fine Art
Greg Irby Fine Art emailed me a few weeks ago about one of their new artists, Britt Bass Turner, and I just haven't stoped thinking about her work. Her paintings are bright and fresh and fluid. They would make the most amazing addition to a liven up a more traditional room.
The gallery is placed in a bit house at the back of an historical church proper within the center of Buckhead in Atlanta. They were the primary gallery to represent Sally Benedict and whilst she outgrew them they started representing Michelle Armas.
My mission is to find artists who I believe are super talented, committed to their work and their originality, and they also must be kind & good people to work with. I have been lucky to have met so many who exceed all of our "qualifications." We are about to introduce a new artist, Britt Bass Turner, this Friday. I'm thrilled about it! I think that you will love her work. She actually studied under Erin McIntosh (one of our top artists) at UGA who has become her greatest mentor - and she is a huge fan of both Sally and Michelle's work.
Britt grew up just north of Atlanta, graduated from UGA in 2011 and just recently married her high school sweetheart. She has always been in the South and I love her take on it, " "There's a saturation of art and culture based here in the South. A lot of the artists and designers I love are based here. There's pride in being an artist here, you're part of something!"
To all my Atlanta friends, y'all need to go check out this gallery in person. Lots and lots of goodness.
