Livening up our Living Room & Tips on how you can Liven up your Spaces too.
Hello Friends! How's it going?
I'm so satisfied you forestall with the aid of nowadays because I desired to proportion with you ways I've livened up our dwelling room to present it a clean new look. I additionally desire that I can inspire you in a few way or any other with my easy guidelines on how you could liven up your spaces too.
Tip #1 Start from scratch
Once I took down all of our Christmas decorations, I was left with an empty canvas. All that was left in this room was basically just the furniture. The mantel, gallery ledges, and coffee table were pretty much all empty. This allowed me to give the whole room a fresh new start.
Tip #2 Change up your decor
Starting from scratch, I then slowly started introducing new decor to the room. Now when I say new decor, I don't mean I went out and bought a bunch of stuff, instead I gathered things from around the house that I may have forgotten about. By using what you already have and placing it in a new spot, it can make your decor feel fresh and new again.
However, it's far k to buy some new gadgets which you surely love.
I bought this new rattan mirror from Target. It's kinda funny because I was looking at my blank fireplace thinking to myself, what that space needs is a big round mirror, maybe something with texture like bamboo. That same day I went to Target for a whole other reason, spotted this mirror, and said,
"Oh My Gosh! I dreamed up this reflect, and here it is."
True Story.
And it severely couldn't be any greater perfect for the gap.
Tip #3 Add paintings
I then decided that artwork would be something that would really bring my gallery ledges to life. So I gathered up a few paintings that I already had, mixed in some of my own photography, and the boat picture from Freckled Laundry. I also added an empty picture frame because I just love to layer things. I think the gallery ledges turned out really beautiful.
Tip #4 Play around with Pillows
Pillows are the perfect way to bring life to a area. I want to mess around with distinct patterns. Here, I essentially brought out my huge bag of fabrics placed them separately the couch until I observed one I favored, and then I sewed it right into a pillow.

I added another painting to the mantel. This is a favorite one of mine. It was painted by my husband's grandpa. I stacked some little wood boxes next to it and added my signature glass bottle to the mantel. I love adding bottles to my decor.
Tip #5 Bring in House Plants
Out of everything I've added, the one thing that has livened up the room more than anything else are the house plants. As soon as I brought them in, the room just felt more alive.
So any other element I want to encourage you to do, is to carry residence plants into your space. I sense like you could by no means have too many flowers, and they're so beneficial to your private home is such a lot of methods.
There are so many easy-to-care for plants, you don't have an excuse of saying you don't have a green thumb. Here I have added an Aloe Vera plant to our coffee table. This is one of those plants you can get away with forgetting to water here and there.
I've placed it in my mini green house, you know the one I made out of old picture frames and hot glue. (Instructions Here)
Tip #6 Make your room smell Good
I've also layered my coffee table with candles and incense. Another instant way to liven up a space is to light a candle and/or burn an incense. I like earthy scents and believe they can bring joy, energy and peace into any space.
Tip #7 Decorate with Nature
I always like to bring the outdoors in whenever possible. So here I have used a large log as a rustic side table, or I guess I should say plant stand.
Tip #8 Create a comfortable vibe
A stack of books at the espresso table invites you to sit down and loosen up. A guitar inside the corner, or music playing is some other way to offer your area that comfortable vibe. We are all about being comfortable and snug around right here.
Tip #nine Open up the Curtains
These iciness days can occasionally be so gloomy out, so when the solar does come out, I'm alway certain to allow it in through starting up the curtains.
Tip #10 Create a Kid and Pet friendly Home.
My boys and sweet Abby pug fill our home with so much happiness. They are what make this house come alive with laughter and joy. I allow them to run round, jump on the couch, have Nerf battles and sword fights in our living room. Nothing in this house is more precious then they are.
Do you have any pointers on how you like to liven up a area? I'd love to listen them.
Thank you again for stopping via.
Peace & Love,
Emily
