Our EntryWay Decorated For Fall
I just shared my Fall Home Tour, did you have a chance to see it? If not, you can catch it HERE.
Because I had only shared a quick glimpse of my entryway at the tour, I wanted to return back and share a bit bit greater about it today. In this area subsequent to our front door I have created an smooth fall look that greets circle of relatives and buddies as they input into our home.
First off, I think what makes this space special is the blue door. I get quite a few comments asking what color it is, so just in case you are interested in it too, it is called, Night Scape by Valspar.
The next thing I wanted to talk about is this memory box display. I picked up this memory/shadow/letterpress box at a yard sale last summer but I had never found a place to put it until now. It fits so perfect above my numbered coat hook that I'm wondering why I never thought to hang it up here before.
In my Fall Home Tour I share how I have framed some beautiful black and white photography that had also come from a yard sale. When I first brought the prints home, I placed one above the memory box and I loved it here, but it needed to move to above the couch with the rest of the collection, so at the moment I have a vintage licence plate in its place.
I often like to interchange out different benches, baskets, trunks, and chairs in this vicinity next to the door, commonly relying on the season, for instance, in wintry weather we want a place to keep gloves and scarves, and for summer time an area for turn flops, however here for fall I determined to add a leather-based ottoman that is all that is wanted for sitting down to put to your footwear before heading outside.
To give a plant some height, I have placed it on a large log. I love the rustic texture it added to the space.
Then I added THIS sailboat pillow. Even though it was from my Summer home tour, I felt like it could still work with my fall decor. The navy blue paired next to the leather provides a masculine look that feels very fall to me.
I had fun adding air plants and pine cones to the cubbies of the shadow box. The individual spaces makes each little item feel special.
And lastly, I searched my closet for coordinating bags to hang from the coat hook. I love going to my closet to find accessories to go with my decor, and I can always find something to pull the look together :)
So this is how our entryway appears presently, however you ought to realize that it won't final lengthy.
I simply love mixing things around this area.
Thank you for stopping by today.
