Blueberry dyed eggs and a simple place setting idea.
Happy April!
Have you been fooled but nowadays?
I performed some over on my family this morning;
I put a plastic bug in my husband's coffee mug, I froze my boy's cereal and tried to serve it to them for breakfast, I laid out superhero costumes instead of their regular clothes to wear today, and then I placed a gravy packet and a candy cane in with my son's lunch.
Ha Ha Ha!
I'm this type of prankster!
So Anyway, I love the concept of herbal dyed Easter eggs.
There are so many different fruits and vegetables you can use to get a variety of beautiful colors.
I had never attempted this herbal dye method before but thought I'd supply a crack at it (get it?)
So I chose to go together with a blueberry dye.
I did not have any fresh blueberries reachable so I used frozen blueberries.
I assume that is why my eggs grew to become out extra red than blue.
To make the dye
boil 1 cup of blueberries (fresh or frozen) in 2 cups water.
Add 1 tsp salt.
Boil for 10-15 minutes.
Strain and region in jar.
Add 1 Tbs white vinegar
cool earlier than the usage of.
I gave my eggs an ombre impact by using leaving the eggs in the dye for one-of-a-kind lengths of time.
The lightest being round 1 minute - The darkest round an hour.
I thought the eggs should make a quite area putting for an Easter table.
By reducing up an empty egg carton, I created individual egg cups
to region on every region setting.
Then I cut out a small rectangle from the egg carton and wrote a call on it the usage of a pencil.
I suppose the vicinity placing could be very natural and quite.
I additionally could not withstand shooting a few images of the eggs in a bed of purple vegetation.
I think the eggs turned out beautiful. They are a little spotty, but I think that happens sometimes with all dyes.
I also like that it didn't dye the egg on the inside, I have a hard time eating hard boiled eggs that are brightly colored.
Now I'm looking to attempt out a few other herbal dyes.
Thanks for stopping by means of,
Emily
