Shrimp and Grits: A LOWCOUNTRY RECIPE

Okay ladies.  So my husband is the gifter of these directions but unfortunately it's his gig so I can't really help you out if you don't follow.  The good news is, you really can't mess it up!

Ingredients:

Large Shrimp

Andouille Sausage

Red Pepper

Vidalia Onion

Garlic

Fresh Parsley

Yellow Grits

Chicken Stock

Cream Cheese

Directions:

Sweat onions, and peppers. Sear sausage and de-glaze the pan. Add garlic, hen stock and allow to simmer. Finish sauce with heavy cream, salt, pepper and parsley.

Cook grits consistent with package deal, substitute fowl inventory for water. Stir softened cream cheese into grits and serve.

Spoon shrimp gravy over grits and garnish with sparkling grated Parmesan.
