Plaid Shirt Pillow

My husband, Jake turned into cleaning out his closet the opposite day.

Shocking! It's something I actually have never ever seen him do before.

Seriously, he has garments he's very own even earlier than we met, which became like 15 years ago.

Nicely I wager he determined there had been some items in his closet that he did not care for a good deal or that simply failed to suit nicely.

So as he was creating a big pile of unwanted garments, I turned into simply searching at them and questioning,

"a number of those blouse could make remarkable pillows!"

My mind is usually in redecorating mode.

I particularly cherished this shirt.

And actually, I felt a little bad cutting it up.  It was like a brand new Gap nice plaid shirt.

But I knew my pillow might be just as remarkable.

:)

So that is how I made my pillow.

1. first I buttoned up the shirt and laid it flat on the floor.

(with the aid of the way, that is a mens X-large shirt and this pillow cover will in shape a trendy length mattress pillow)

2. I cut across the shirt just below the arms.

 3. Next, I cut across at the bottom of the shirt to remove the curved tail.

4. Leaving the shirt buttoned, I insided it out and then sewed down each of the open sides.

 5. And lastly, I unbutton the shirt, flipped it back to the front side, and then inserted my pillow.

It would not get any easier then that!

For the small gray pillow, I accompanied all of the commands above. However, for this pillow I wanted to insert a trendy length throw pillow. Therefor I needed to cut a little more off of the one facet. I did this by using laying out my insert to measure it for length.

I'm loving my new sofa pillows.

The crimson one provides a bit pop of color.

A friend suggested I add a little red into my decor. Well, Here you go friend  ;)

I also brought in a blue plaid blanket and some log candles.  I think they add a little bit of a Fall look.

On the aspect of my sofa I've also added a twine basket to keep my boy's library books.

We want to cuddle up on the couch in the evenings and study stories earlier than bed.

And now we have adorable new pillows to cuddle up with.

All way to Jake for cleaning out his closet :)

Thanks you for preventing with the aid of these days.

Emily
