Main Bath Makeover
Our home has two bathrooms; One is in the master bedroom, that I shared not to long ago.
The other is this one here, the main tub of the house. It is also the rest room my boys use.
This toilet became the ultimate room inside the house to get made over.
I am now satisfied to announce that there are No More Tan partitions on this house!!!
(Well except for the basement :))
So here is the toilet before.
Tan, Tan and Tan.
The first issue I did became paint the arrogance, wainscoting ,and molding all in a fresh white.
I then painted the walls a pretty light blue. The color is called, Rising Tide by Valspar.
The paint freshened this room up so much and I think it harmonizes with the blue tile nicely.
Above the bathroom I have hung wooden frames that preserve multiple favourite seashore images.
The frames had been given to me by means of my mom in law. I surely have them turned around. The other aspect use to have a chunk of metallic, as for use as a magnet board, but I just liked the chunkiness of the backside better.
I love how the dark wood fits the boat floats that are additionally putting in the room.
Hanging on the wall, I also have this towel hook I made a long term in the past the usage of an old cupboard door and a few vintage mismatched coat hooks.
On the vanity I have a couple of jars, one is holding bath salts, while the other has an air plant inside of it. I picked the air plant up in a souvenir shop on our last trip to the coast. I think it is so cool, and now I want several more of them.
On the counter is also a cord basket that holds extra bathroom paper and visitor towels.
Tucked inside the corner are a few constructed in cabinets.
As you can see, the top shelf holds a few old boat bouys and a driftwood starfish.
The middle shelf has an old blue bundt pan that I recently picked up from a thrift store. I just filled it with toilet paper. And then a few folded white washclothes are on the bottom shelf.
Besides the brand new hooks to dangle it up with, I did now not buy anything new-new for this room.
My favorite thing in this room are the old windows. They are so fun to open up and call for the boys to come in for their bath, and sometimes their daddy even lifts them up through the window :)
I did no longer need to cover up those windows, however the room does want privateness given that it's far a bathroom and all, so I actually have just hung a few simple blinds that can be pulled up at some stage in the day.
Should I also mention that the blinds came from a thrift store..... Ha ha, I'm so frugal it's not even humorous.
But it just goes to expose a room does no longer should be embellished in today's, costly objects to appearance terrific.
Sometimes all it takes is a few fresh paint at the walls and a bit little bit of creativity.
Now that the closing room inside the house is revamped.....It's time for round two :)
Thanks you for preventing by way of today.
