#MargaritaMonday Recipe in time for the weekend
Friday already? I swear this week has flown by! Does anyone have any fun plans for the weekend? We have a graduation party tomorrow night for my cousins here in Richmond if we don't sneak off to the cabin. Almost all of my cousins are a good bit younger my siblings and I. One just gradated from Notre Dame the weekend before last and another finished high school this week.
I'm 50/50 on skipping town. The babes are drastically easier to manage in the car and can last all day with no naps now. It would be so much fun to take them to a few of the touristy things they've been too young to visit up in the mountains. But then again, a nice relaxing weekend at home cleaning and organizing and front yard drinking could be nice too. I guess you'll have to follow along on instagram to see what we decide.
Matthew and I have decided to start up #MargaritaMonday for the summer. Clever, right. Sometimes you don't have to reinvent the wheel. But this is new for me. I took a pretty long hiatus away from Mexican food and tequila after college. I'm completely obsessed with fresh mex at home now and figured adding back in margarita's was the next logical step. I'm pretty excited about trying out new recipes using grapefruit and other alternatives for triple sec. I think it's safe to say that as long as it doesn't start at La Ha's and end with a liquor luge, I should be just fine.
Margarita's:
Ice
2 ouncesSilver Tequila
1oz Triple Sec
1 lime slice
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, pour in tequila, lime juice, and triple sec. Shake well. Pour into a glass and garnish with a lime slice. Don't forget the salty rim.
