More mid-century daydreams

I simply can not assist myself. Here are elements one and of a video of Monsanto's House of the Future, an attraction at Disneyland that opened in 1957 and stored pulling within the crowds till 1967. Part one is nearly ten mins long. Part comes in at about three minutes.

This stuff's a laugh now, and fantastic how it all hinges on the concept of reasonably-priced oil and reasonably-priced electricity. I paid $3.Forty a gallon for gas on Friday. So much for reasonably-priced oil. What all of those future forecasters overlooked turned into how lots human beings in that future would appearance again to 1966 and 1957 respectively, with unapolegetic longing. Hah!
