The Nursery
Part I
BEFORE
Oh previous proprietors, how I love thee for your countless hours of design debacles you left for me to fix. There absolutely is nothing like neon peach to perception an awesome night's sleep.
TRANSITION I
This was the best picture I took of the room at some point of it is 2d and third paint coloration levels. The proper side wall is the equal cream shade that we used in the laundry room. I lived with it for two months but hated it so much on this area. The laundry room is at once under this room so it should get the same light, yet by hook or by crook the colour upstairs always gave the look of 1980's cracked wheat. I felt find it irresistible wanted some dried floral wreaths to match. Maybe it is just the quantity of coloration, obviously our laundry room is much smaller, however I hated it enough to get impatient and repaint it on a whim. Unfortunately. I did not honestly sense like using 15 minutes to buy new paint so I just grabbed the leftover kitchen colour (mild inexperienced) and jumbled in our trim coloration (designer white).
BAD IDEA.
Number one, I best combined enough to cowl 3 walls. Awesome. Number two, wall coloration is available in egg shell and trim colour is available in satin. FYI, they do not blend nicely and create a weird splotchy sheen on the walls. Even greater first-rate.
TRANSITION II
I have no shame in these photos. This isn't my "dream room" but on the other hand I love it well sufficient. Especially thinking about I didn't spend any cash in this room. Except on paint to repair my preceding debacle. I knew in the end it'd grow to be a nursery and now not a permant guest room. I notion it's miles become an excellent place to use a few matters I already had however did not have a domestic someplace else. And we had a treadmill and an excercise ball so I figured it might be a very good home health club/pilates location. I convinced Matthew to paint this beautiful colour of light green at the walls knowing full nicely that it'd paintings for a nursery if we ever wanted one.
It simply appears simply quite in these pictures however it is a bit bright in person, particularly while it's absolutely sunny. Too shiny for a nursery I've already determined.
I trade my thoughts alot on design thoughts.
The pix simply aren't brilliant but I desired to have some appropriate documentation of the whole area so we should see the transformation as it turns into toddler woman's room.
I even have some amusing things planned for the closet makeover as nicely. I'd want to change the paneled bi-fold doorways (which might be currently off track and familiar) with a more conventional french door style. I'll probably go away the integrated shelving as is and just assist it together with pretty baskets and fresh paint.
