Sarah Susanka speaks
In case you neglected it on Thursday, the great Sarah Susanka left a comment under my posting for the day. Now, I'm now not one who's commonly at risk of idol worship or star struck-ness, however man! To say that made my day is a sarcasm. Thank you Sarah!
Her comment was in response to my post about the upcoming release of her new book, Not So Big Remodeling. And once more for good measure, here's how you can pre-order a copy for yourself.
Is that too bare a plug? If so I'm sorry. But this lady has tremendous matters to mention and if I can do some thing to unfold the phrase than I'm glad to.
Here's what she had to say on Thursday:
Dear Paul,
Thanks so much for your enthusiastic help of my books and of the "no longer so big" sensibility. When I began writing this series just over ten years ago, little did I realize that they could impact so many.
The certainly exciting part approximately this subsequent e-book, Not So Big Remodeling, is that it offers those who aren't educated in architecture or design a manner of thinking about the transforming technique which I've in no way encountered in print before. It teaches them what architects and designers recognise to do--begin through considering the handiest and least invasive strategies first and paintings up from there. My co-author, Marc Vassallo, and I have tried to take the reader through a grade by grade method to the transforming process in a genuinely not so huge manner.
It is our wish that this ebook will serve owners, architects, designers, and remodelers alike to enhance the best and character of our current housing stock, which as we point out, is one of the greenest acts you can take.
It's clean to make a new residence sustainable, however rehabilitating our present houses and permitting them to keep to age gracefully is a bigger assignment. That's what this ebook is all approximately.
All the satisfactory,
Sarah Susanka
Amen sister, I can't wait 'til my replica suggests up in February.
