Mass Customization comes to me
So, the day prior to this I started out talking approximately Shapeway.Com's Light Poems. Today, I pass in and make one for myself. Come join in on the fun!
So now that I had my prose uploaded, the app made some formatting tips in order that my shape would be sound. I made the recommended adjustments and I ended up with something that reads: "SALTCURED CAPERS ARE LIKE VINEGARY RAISINS PACKED IN COARSE SEA SALT AND I EAT THEM LIKE CANDY." Then I selected the font I wanted to use, Gil Sans.
Then I decided on the wrapping style my completed Light Poem might have. I selected "jewelry" over "spiral" because I like instantly traces.
Then I selected my fabric. Because that is nonetheless a beta at this point, there is one material to be had for Light Poems. There may be greater materials made to be had within the coming weeks (and extra fashions). So my Light Poem will be made in a natural white, flexible but strong plastic.
Finally, I stored it and positioned my order. Shapeways calculated the fee for my Light Poem as I went thru their manner and that they determine the price based at the cubic centimeters of material had to make my Light Poem. So for this one, I came up with $95.11 and that consists of transport. Pretty slick.
The next product they've coming online a bowl, and you may be able to make it in sincerely any shape you need. Keep an eye in this one kids.
