So even though my Bertoia stools aren't going to happen, my pals at All Modern still like me. So much so that they want to do a give away with Kitchen and Residential Design. Here it is:

Michael Graves' New Americana series for Alessi from 1985 grew out of his dissatisfaction with Modernist expression. In a chain of experiments to assist him find a more recent layout vocabulary, he became a Postmodernist eye to every day objects. His New Americana series become an over night sensation and it introduced the paintings of an already-famous architect and product dressmaker into the homes of humans worldwide.
Graves' pairing his iconographic sensibilities with Alessi is a super healthy. Alessi's entire raison d??Tre is to re-imagine each day items. Graves' career is marked by his embody of a studied whimsy and I love him for it. That same studied whimsy is at the foundation of my ardour for all matters Alessi too. I'm quite thrilled to have the risk to deliver a number of the serious a laugh into someone else's lifestyles thru this provide away.
All Modern carries most of Alessi's collections by the way, so give them a look-see. Alessi proves that Modern design can be both a serious art form and a whole lot of fun.
