I simply saw The Curious Case of Benjamin Button closing night and guy oh guy what a film. It's a love letter from Brad Pitt to the tremendous metropolis of New Orleans for starters, and it tells a story that had me enraptured for its full 3 hour duration. It's a love story, a human story, an thrilling tale and a fantastical parable abruptly. It manages to be each poignant and touching without reverting to easy emotion or sentimentality. The movie delves into the nature of life and of happiness and info the vital trade offs and compromises all humans make within the pursuit in their goals. Where Benjamin Button diverges from the % is in its insistence that even though the pursuit of happiness and journey entail sacrifices and trade offs, these compromises aren't something to be mourned. Rather, these compromises are to be celebrated because they're the adventure. All hail Brad Pitt and can he win each award available for this superb film. Bravo!
