James Dyson makes brilliant vacuum cleaners. He's additionally an inventor, commercial engineer, business designer, a Knight of The Most Noble Order of the Garter and a philanthropist.

Every year, The James Dyson Foundation holds a world wide competition for Industrial Design students. The grand prize is £10,000 award to the winner and an additional £10,000 goes to the school where he or she studies.
