Decorative Hot Dog / Marshmallow Roasting sticks
Gosh guys, I just realized I haven't shared a post in well over a week. I think I have been so busy working on projects.... which lately have all mostly been fails! Seriously, sometimes my ideas don't work as well as I had planned. I could probably do a whole series on projects gone bad.
So until I have something new to share with you, I thought I'd pull out this old post from last year. I had originally shared it over at Ella Claire, but never here on my own blog. So now is a better time than never. Well actually this is probably the perfect time to share it since camping season is approaching us quickly. We even have a camping trip planned for this weekend. My little family and I love to go camping. We enjoy spending time out in nature, swimming in the lake, hiking, relaxing and of course, roasting marshmallows over the camp fire.
So today I'm going to percentage how I have adorned our families hot dog / marshmallow roasting sticks.
Aren't they cute? This can also be a exceptional gift to give for father's day.
For of the roasters, I actually have decoupaged craft paper onto them. I discovered the appropriate paper at a scrap-reserving shop.
Here is what you'll need for this mission:
- Roasting sticks with wood handles
- Craft paper (something lightweight - now not card stock)
- Mod Podge
- Scissors
- Paint or foam brush
Cut the craft paper to be the equal length as the timber take care of.
Brush Mod Podge onto the back of paper and wrap around the wood handle. Then brush Mod Podge over the outside of the paper to seal it. Let dry.
On the opposite two roasters, I painted them in polka dots with craft paints.
I first painted the manage in a stable colour, as soon as it turned into dry I delivered the polka dots the usage of a ball pin.
By including a ball pin to the give up of a pencil it permits you to dip it in paint to create perfect,
cohesive dots.
I suppose they grew to become out so amusing!
This is a absolutely amusing craft to do whilst tenting, in particular for children.
Just do not forget to convey all the elements along.
As you could see, we've had plenty of a laugh redecorating all of our roasting sticks.
Happy Camping!!
