Grilled Cheese with Bacon
One of my all-time favorites is grilled cheese. While I'm not one to turn down a Kraft slice on white bread, M and I love to come up with more gour-met alternatives of grown-up grilled cheese. This one has bacon and provolone on onion ciabatta rolls. It's incredible with Trader Joes Tomato Red Pepper Soup.
Ingredients
ciabatta bread (we used onion)
provolone cheese sliced certainly thin (Muenster is usually splendid--perhaps even better than the provolone)
tomatoes sliced without a doubt thin
blended vegetables
bacon (we used bacon portions because that is what my guy prefers)
dijon mustard
Dukes Mayo
butter
Make your sandwich using all the ingredients above. Lightly coat a grill pan with butter and grill sandwich a few minutes on each side until the cheese is melted and the bread is crispy.
