An example of a Japanese style bath (I particularly like the matching cedar wood tub, stools, and buckets). The proper etiquette is to use the stool, bucket, and faucet to first wash yourself off thoroughly. Once you’ve rinsed off all of the soap, you can then move to the tub to soak for a while.
