Slow Cooker Spaghetti Casserole Recipe
Slow Cooker Spaghetti Casserole - so easy to make with only 8 ingredients! No need to precook the pasta! It cooks right in the crockpot!! This is on repeat in our house! Ground round, Italian sausage, spaghetti noodles, spaghetti sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, cheddar cheese, and parmesan cheese. Ready to eat in 4 hours. All you need is a quick salad and some crusty bread and dinner is done!
Best Ever Spaghetti Casserole
I am a HUGE fan of my slow cooker. I use it at least once a week. I use it even more during the holidays. I love being able to dump everything in the slow cooker and come back to dinner. This Slow Cooker Spaghetti Casserole is a favorite! The best part about the whole recipe is that you don't have to precook the noodles! YASSSS! This Spaghetti Casserole is so easy to make and tastes great! All you need is a salad and some crusty bread and dinner is done!
How to Make Spaghetti Casserole in the Slow Cooker
As I said, this Slow Cooker Spaghetti Casserole is super easy to make. Start with browning your meat. You can use Italian sausage, ground beef, ground turkey, or a combination of them all. Whatever you prefer. Once the meat is cooked, you can assemble the casserole.Combine the cooked meat with a jar of your favorite spaghetti sauce, water, some diced tomatoes, and Italian Seasoning. Place half of the meat mixture in the bottom of the crockpot. Top the sauce with uncooked spaghetti noodles. Top the noodles with the remaining meat sauce and top with cheese. Cover the crockpot and cook on LOW for 4 hours.
You can brown the meat ahead of time and assemble the casserole when you are ready to cook it. Feel free to add a layer of ricotta or cottage cheese to the casserole. I think it would take this casserole to the next level! Spread the cheese on top of the pasta before adding the second layer of meat sauce.
Spaghetti Casserole for a Crowd
This Slow Cooker Spaghetti Casserole is great for potlucks and dinner parties. It will serve about 8 people with some salad and bread. This would be great to take to school for teacher appreciation day or a church potluck. I like to make this the day before Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve. I don't want to fool with cooking before big holiday meals. This casserole is so easy to make and tastes great!
